January 2026

A busy month full of competitions and team firsts!

In GymAct’s Week 2 of competition, the Wisconsin Flippers braved Chicago’s below-zero temperatures in the aptly named Windy City Invitational to compete against Iowa, Indy-Hio, Northern Illinois, Florida Storm, and of course Minnesota! This marked the debut competitions for Fabian MullerDahlberg and Taras Drozd, and a return of Devyn Iglesias-Fuller for a 2nd year of competition. The team put up scores for pommels, rings, and parallel bars at Navy Pier.

Week 4 brought the team’s full roster together at the John Roethlisberger Iceberg Open in Minneapolis. MullerDahlberg dusted off his flipping skills and competed floor and vault for the first time in over 4 years. Drozd and Iglesias-Fuller both showed off upgraded skills in their rings routines. The 2nd year Josef Volk made a high-energy return, competing vault, floor, and pommel horse- where he scored a program record.

The team will return to the practice gym for a few weeks, working hard to prepare for their next competition in March!
